Land that already produces
Punta Colorada Wind Farm
The Punta Colorada Wind Farm (20 MW, 10 turbines) has operated on the property under a long-term lease since 2011.
Punta Colorada step-up substation
The Punta Colorada Substation (220 kV), a step-up substation, sits and operates within the property, raising the voltage of local generation for injection into the transmission system.
Solar reservation
Approximately 200 hectares reserved by a power generation company for the development of a solar plant.
BESS storage
A battery energy storage project in development.
Managed easements
More than a dozen right-of-way and electrical easements from various owners, registered between 2008 and 2025, including an access easement for the Kimal–Lo Aguirre HVDC line, Chile's largest transmission project.
Land in an active mining district
Estancia El Chañar sits in a district with a long mining tradition in Chile's Norte Chico, with historic operations and current activity. In the same municipality of La Higuera, the Puquios copper project is advancing, and its logistics converge at the Punta Colorada crossing on Route 5. Its mineral and geological potential is consistent with Sernageomin's public information for the district.
With direct Route 5 frontage, available acreage and proximity to 220 kV electrical infrastructure, the property is suited to mining support facilities, stockpiling, logistics and heavy industry. Evidence of that strategic value: the property has already granted an easement for the infrastructure of a large-scale mining project in the region. It is available for mining and industrial projects; detailed technical and legal information under a non-disclosure agreement.
